Age Concern Southend is an independent charity providing support to elderly people in the Southend area.
Please note: This entry refers solely to the local Southend-on-Sea branch of Age Concern / Age UK, and not the national charity Age UK.
Age Concern Southend began in 1974 as Southend Older People’s Welfare and have been helping older people in the community ever since. They currently provide general advice and support, wheelchair hire, befriending, community clubs, hearing aid replacement, day care and social and fitness activities.
How You Can Help
Time: Various
Age Concern have a range of volunteering roles available in roles such as befrienders (face to face or via the phone), office assistants, club and day care hosts, maintenance and charity champions.
Cost: Various
