Check your regional UNHCR website for details on volunteering opportunities near you. UNHCR does not take on individual volunteers in the UK, but does provide information on how to get involved with Community Sponsorship, the UK Government-UNHCR refugee resettlement programme that allows local volunteer groups to sponsor refugee families, supporting them after their arrival and helping them settle faster into their new lives.

You can also sign up for the UNHCR’s newsletters to stay informed on the latest news and activities from the organisation.

Students involved in Model UN groups can take part in the 2021 Model UN Refugee challenge. This competition is open to MUNs taking place online and in-person at university, high-school and primary school level.
