Re-engage is a charity working to end social isolation and loneliness in older people in the UK.

Re-engage provides social connections for older people at a time in their lives when their social circles are diminishing. In 2019, 8,500 older guests were part of over 900 regular social gatherings across the UK, supported by 14,000 volunteers.

Become a volunteer with Re-engage and support the charity in a number of different roles. These include becoming a Call Companion (making regular calls to older people, around twice a month), a Call Companion interviewer or coordinator, or a Tea Party volunteer.

If you’re based in Wales, you could become a Daring to Dream volunteer, helping to organise active groups, doing a range of activities including light fitness, dancing and gardening.

Please Note: As of September 2021, Re-engage are beginning to restart in-person volunteering, though most opportunities are currently remote (i.e., via the Call Companion program).
