Outhouse East is a charity supporting the LGBTQ+ community in Essex.
Outhouse East began in 1979 as a one-night a week helpline for LGBTQ+ issues, hosted in the house of a volunteer. It now has a permanent premise in Colchester and continues to offer a range of services to support the welfare, mental health and relationships of LGBTQ+ people, including free counselling, workshops, and an LGBTQ+ library.
