How We Organise Our Entries

We get it: you’re time poor and strapped for cash. Or you’ve got spare time but no expandable income, or money you’d like to spend on causes you care about but no time to put it to use. Our guide shows what it costs to join an organisation, fundraise for a charity or buy a product. It also tells you how much time each organisation requires of you. Scroll down to read the whole guide!

Of course, each organisation and charity would love to receive even more money or time than we’ve estimated they require – we’ve rated each entry by the minimum required of you. We often have organisations listed under multiple categories, as they work across multiple issues, and have them listed under as many locations as we can!

Note that as the Do Something Directory is a British organisation, we use pounds sterling (GBP) as our currency.

Geographical Locations

We use the United Nations geoscheme to organise our entries, and strive to include organisations based in every county and city on the planet. We’re planning an interactive map you can use to find entries by their location, but while we’re working on it, use our directory page to find different locations.
