Slow Ways is a community project, aiming to create a user-generated network of walking routes across Great Britain.
Slow Ways aims to make it easier for people to plan and access walking routes, with volunteers suggesting routes and the Slow Ways team reviewing and verifying them. The project helps encourage people to connect with their local community, public transport links and ‘nearby nature,’ reduces reliance on transport and improves air quality, and improves mental and physical health.
Note that while Slow Ways aims to establish a map of routes across the UK, it is starting with the island of Great Britain. Accordingly, we have only added it to our England, Wales and Scotland categories and will update the page as the project continues.
